Sanity
Related names and search terms: SP, Sanity, Heads Chance
At a Glance
A value that affects Heads chance and other mechanics. It is separate from HP.
GUIDEHow It Works
SP ranges from -45 to +45. Ordinary Coins have a Heads chance of 50% + SP: 5% at -45, 50% at 0, and 95% at +45. Negative Coins lose Power on Heads, so higher SP is not always beneficial.
SP normally rises through Clash Wins and enemy kills, and falls through E.G.O use and allied deaths. Check each Identity's Sanity tab: some use different conditions or amounts.
An enemy without SP is different from an enemy at 0 SP. Keep that distinction when reading effects such as Sinking.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- SP and HP are separate. Restoring SP does not restore HP.
- Some enemies do not have SP.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
SP and ordinary Coin Heads chance
- -45 SP: 5% Heads
- 0 SP: 50% Heads
- +45 SP: 95% Heads
These are ordinary positive-Coin probabilities. Check Identity-specific Coin effects and SP modifiers separately.
