GLOSSARY / Special Rules

Attack Weight

Special Rules

At a Glance

A value governing how many target slots an attack can cover.

GUIDEHow It Works

Attack Weight indicates how many slots a skill can target. At 2 or more, it becomes a multi-target attack.

The main target uses a solid line; subtargets use dashed lines. Only the main target Clashes. Subtargets are usually automatic, though selected slots can influence them in Focused Encounters.

Some parts or slots consume more than one unit of Attack Weight. A slot with weight 2 uses more of the available weight, leaving less for other targets.

NOTESCommon Misunderstandings

  • 3 Attack Weight does not always mean 3 enemy characters.

EXAMPLEWorked Example

Targets of a multi-target skill

  1. Select the main target
  2. Allocate remaining Attack Weight to subtargets
  3. Clash with the main target; attack all covered targets

Targets may be individual enemy slots or parts rather than separate characters. Some E.G.O and skills use special targeting rules.
