At a Glance

An action an Identity uses in battle. Guard and Evade are skills too.

GUIDEHow It Works

An Identity's usual attack pool contains 3 copies of Skill 1, 2 of Skill 2, and 1 of Skill 3. Skill 3 unlocks at Uptie Ⅲ. Each skill slot shows 2 available choices and a preview of the next skill.

Select 1 available skill for each slot before starting the turn. An attack skill is consumed when actually used, and the next skills move forward to refill the choices. If the attack never happens because the enemy dies or the Identity is Staggered first, it remains available. An Identity with multiple slots shares the same skill pool across all slots.

In Normal Encounters, connect skills from left to right. In Focused Encounters, connect each slot to an enemy skill to choose its target. You can also replace an attack with a defense skill.

Read activation timing such as On Use, On Clash Win, and On Hit alongside the skill's effects.

NOTESCommon Misunderstandings

  • An On Hit effect requires the attack to land; selecting the skill alone does not activate it.
  • The Skill 1/2/3 counts describe the standard pool. Identity-specific effects can change it; check the relevant skill descriptions.

EXAMPLEWorked Example

Choose an available skill and advance the skill pool

Available this turnSkill A / Skill BChoose either skill
Next-skill previewSkill CNot available this turn
After START, use the selected skillThe next skills refill the choices in order
Choose 1 of the 2 available skills / Press START and use that skill / The following skills refill the choices in order

This shows an ordinary attack being used. Replacing it with defense and advancing the turn consumes the original attack even if the defense does not activate. Canceling the replacement does not consume it.
