Skill Power
Related names and search terms: Base Power, Coin Power, Clash Power, Maximum Power, Coin Boost, Coin Drop
At a Glance
A value used to resolve Clashes and calculate attacks. Coin results and other effects modify Base Power.
GUIDEHow It Works
For positive Coins without other modifiers, Clash Power is Base Power + Coin Power × the number of Heads.
Clash Power effects and differences in Offense Level can change the compared values. Attack Power is calculated separately for each Coin, so maximum Power is not total damage.
Attack Power Up/Down modifies attack skills' Final Power. Clash Power Up/Down applies only to the comparison during a Clash. Distinguish effects that still apply once the attack begins.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- 10 Power does not necessarily deal 10 damage.
- Clash Power Up is different from a Power increase that also applies during the attack.

Coin Power boosts and drops
A Coin Boost adds to the relevant Coin Power; a Coin Drop subtracts from it. Negative Coin Power is a signed negative value.
Plus Coin Boost and Minus Coin Boost add their value to the corresponding Coin Power; Drops subtract it. For negative Coins, moving closer to 0 reduces the amount subtracted on Heads.
This is separate from directly changing Base Power or Final Power. Also consider Heads/Tails, Coin count, and whether a Coin was broken during the Clash.
- Check whether the Coin is positive or negative before interpreting a Boost or Drop; its name alone does not determine the resulting sign.
Adding 1 to Coin Power
- +1 positive Coin Power with 1 Plus Coin Boost becomes +2
- -2 negative Coin Power with 1 Minus Coin Boost becomes -1
- On Heads, the positive Coin adds more and the negative Coin subtracts less
- On Tails, the Coin contributes 0; Base Power and other modifiers are calculated separately
This compares Coin Power only. It excludes Base Power and Final Power modifiers and the handling of Unbreakable Coins after a Clash Loss.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Clash with Base Power 4, Coin Power +3, and 2 Coins
The same skill rolls different Clash Power with different numbers of Heads.
These are 3 possible outcomes. Other effects and level differences are omitted.
