GLOSSARY / Status Effects
Paralyze
Related names and search terms: Paralyze, Coin Power fixed at 0
At a Glance
A debuff that fixes the Coin Power of a stated number of the target's Coins at 0 for 1 turn.
GUIDEHow It Works
1 Paralyze fixes the Coin Power of 1 Coin used that turn at 0. It does not directly reduce Base Power or Final Power by 1.
A paralyzed positive Coin adds no Power even on Heads. A paralyzed negative Coin loses its usual subtraction, so Paralyze can sometimes prevent a Power decrease.
Paralyze is consumed in Coin-use order. Coins used during a Clash can consume it first; whether any remains for the attack depends on Coin count and Clash results.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- Do not confuse Paralyze stacks with the skill's remaining Coins. Check specific descriptions when Unbreakable Coins or Coin effects are involved.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Paralyze affects Coin Power
- Positive Coin: the paralyzed Coin adds nothing on Heads
- Negative Coin: negative Coin Power becomes 0
- Check Base Power and other Power modifiers separately
The order in which Paralyze is applied, and its handling during Clashes and attacks, depend on the skill's current state.
