At a Glance

How readily the defender takes damage. A larger displayed resistance value generally means more damage taken.

GUIDEHow It Works

Check Attack Type resistance and Sin resistance separately. Their reference value is 1: higher values increase damage, and lower values reduce it.

An ally's Identity determines their base physical resistances, shown in the Slash, Pierce, and Blunt columns. E.G.O determines Sin resistances. Battle begins with the equipped ZAYIN E.G.O's resistances; after an E.G.O attack finishes, its Sin resistances replace the current ones.

Final damage combines both resistances with other modifiers. The displayed values are not direct ratios of final damage.

Fragile and Protection modify skill damage taken for 1 turn. They do not rewrite the resistance table and are handled separately in damage calculation. Affinity-specific versions apply only to the named affinity.

NOTESCommon Misunderstandings

  • Exploiting a weakness does not necessarily improve Clash odds. Damage and Clash Power are different.
  • Do not read ×0.5 as guaranteed half damage or ×2.0 as guaranteed double damage.
  • The Fragile status is a separate damage-taken effect; do not confuse it with a resistance label.

Fragile, Protection, and damage modifiers

Resistance affects damage effectiveness; Fragile and Protection temporarily modify damage taken.

Each 1 Fragile increases damage taken by 10%; each 1 Protection reduces it by 10%. Both normally cap at 10 and last for 1 turn. Other modifiers still affect final damage.

Damage Up and Damage Down modify the attacker's skill damage. If an affinity is specified, only that affinity is affected.

Unlike Power modifiers, these do not directly determine Clash results. Distinguish Clash Power, Attack Power, and damage effects.

  • Resistance, Fragile, Protection, and damage modifiers are only parts of the calculation. One value alone does not determine final damage.

Separate the stages of modification

  1. Clash Power: affects who wins the Clash
  2. Damage Up: modifies the attacker's damage
  3. Fragile and Protection: modify the defender's skill damage taken

Check the named affinity for affinity-specific effects. See damage calculation for how modifiers combine.

Resistance values and their effect on damage

Compare displayed resistance values

×0.5
Reduces damage
×1.0
Reference
×2.0
Increases damage

The vertical line marks ×1.0 resistance. Bars show resistance values, not final damage ratios.

×0.5: reduces damage / ×1.0: reference value / ×2.0: increases damage

Bar length compares displayed resistance values, not final damage ratios. The other resistance and level differences also affect calculation.
