GLOSSARY / Status Effects
Bleed
Related names and search terms: Bleed
At a Glance
A status that damages its bearer when they roll attack-skill Coins.
GUIDEHow It Works
Ordinary Bleed deals fixed damage equal to its Potency when an attack Coin is rolled, then loses 1 Count after the roll.
Unlike Rupture, it does not wait for an enemy attack to hit the bearer. Bleed also activates during Clashes, so watch when the bearer acts.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- Do not simply count simultaneous Clash rolls and sequential attack rolls as identical numbers of activations.
- Ordinary defense skills do not trigger Bleed in the same way as attack skills.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
A Bleeding unit rolls an attack Coin
- The unit has Bleed
- The unit rolls an attack Coin
- The unit takes Bleed damage and loses Count
The unit here is the bearer of Bleed. The roll triggers it regardless of Heads or Tails.
