Rupture
Related names and search terms: Rupture
At a Glance
A status that deals damage separately from the normal attack when its bearer is hit.
GUIDEHow It Works
Ordinary Rupture deals fixed damage equal to its Potency when the bearer is hit by an attack skill, then loses 1 Count.
It ends when Count runs out, so maintain Count as well as Potency. Unlike Bleed, it does not wait for the bearer's own attack Coin rolls.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- 2 Count does not mean a duration of 2 turns.
- Check enemy-specific modifiers such as Rupture damage reduction separately.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Ordinary Rupture: 5 Potency, 2 Count
- 1Take a hitAdditional damage 5Count2 → 1Potency unchanged
- 2Take a hitAdditional damage 5Count1 → 0Count runs out
Normal attack damage is excluded. There are no additional applications, consumption, or special modifiers.
