Sinking
Related names and search terms: Sinking
At a Glance
A status that damages SP when its bearer takes attack damage. It behaves differently against targets without SP.
GUIDEHow It Works
Ordinary Sinking deals SP damage equal to its Potency when the bearer takes damage from an attack skill, then loses 1 Count.
Against targets without SP, it deals Gloom damage instead. A target at 0 SP is different from one that has no SP at all.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- SP damage is not automatically HP damage.
- Against targets without SP, account for Gloom resistance and other relevant modifiers.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Sinking behaves differently depending on the target
In either branch, ordinary Sinking loses 1 Count after activation. Separate effects such as Sinking Deluge are excluded.
