GLOSSARY / Status Effects
Charge
Related names and search terms: Charge, Charge Count
At a Glance
A stored resource used for skill conditions and costs. Having Charge does not universally strengthen attacks.
GUIDEHow It Works
Ordinary Charge Count can stack up to 20 and falls by 1 at Turn End. Skills use it according to their own requirements and costs.
Thresholds and consumption differ by Identity and skill. Some special effects check Charge Potency rather than Count; read them separately.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- Charge Count is separate from the Sin resources used for E.G.O.
- Identity-specific descriptions take precedence for special caps, upkeep, and consumption rules.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Check Charge Count before choosing a skill
- Check current Charge Count
- Compare it with the skill's requirement and cost
- Choose a skill whose condition is met
Do not assume every Identity needs the same Charge Count. Account for the decrease at Turn End.
