A Blunt tank and attacker that repeatedly uses the 4-Coin S2 and S3, discarding lower-rank skills, mainly S1, through their On Use effects to gain Shield. Draw attacks with Aggro and convert damage taken into stronger Blunt damage next turn.
Core Mechanics
Discarding with S2 and S3 for Shield: On use, S2 Weight of Knowledge discards the lowest-rank skill, and S3 Excruciating Study discards 2. Depending on the discarded skill, she gains Shield of "Insight × a set % of max HP" (S1: 3/5%, S2: 5/8/10%, S3: 15/20%). Insight is the rank of the last discarded skill (default 1).
Main S2 and S3: Both have 4 Coins and grant Aggro next turn on use (S2: 2/3/5, S3: 3/5). S2 inflicts 2/3/5 Sinking with Coin Ⅳ, and S3 adds +4 Sinking Count with Coin Ⅰ and +2 with Coin Ⅳ. S2 gains +2 Clash Power if the target has at least 5 Sinking, and S3 gains +1 Coin Power at 7 or more.
Combat passive — Incandescent Enlightenment (3 Gloom Owned; unlocked at Uptie Ⅱ): Gains Blunt DMG Up next turn in proportion to the damage taken that turn (including damage absorbed by Shield), up to 5 at 25% of her HP at Turn Start. At 3 Insight, removes 1 negative effect at Turn End.
Defense skill — Fixated Study: Discards the highest-rank skill on use and grants +2/5 Aggro next turn. When the panel holds only S1s, it discards an S1, keeping skills cycling even when S2 and S3 are unavailable. It is an on-use effect, so if the Defense skill is not used, the discard fizzles too.
S1 — Illuminate Thy Vacuity: At 2 or more Insight, gains (Insight − 1) Coin Power, and on Coin Ⅲ hit pushes her own Stagger Threshold back by 5/8/10. Normally, its role is to be discarded into Shield.
How to Use
Basically, just keep using S2 and S3. Each use discards S1 into Shield, and S2 and S3 tend to come around on the panel. In Focused Encounters, take attacks with Aggro and use the damage taken (including Shield damage) to raise next turn's Blunt damage. Deliberately taking one-sided attacks for Incandescent Enlightenment is also an option. When only S1s are lined up on the panel, use her Defense skill to discard an S1 (the highest rank at that point) and keep the rotation going. As a separate trick, discarding S2 or S3 with her Defense skill brings Insight to 3, granting S1's Coin Power bonus and Incandescent Enlightenment's negative effect removal. However, this reduces her main skills by the S2s and S3s discarded and also her chances to gain Shield. S2 and S3 have lowish Clash Power caps (S2 up to 15, S3 up to 16), so pick Clash targets early on when SP is low.
