GLOSSARY / E.G.O
E.G.O Corrosion
Related names and search terms: Corrosion, Random Corrosion, E.G.O Corrosion
At a Glance
Activation of an E.G.O Corrosion skill, often through low SP. It can put allies at risk.
GUIDEHow It Works
Reaching -45 SP causes the Identity to enter E.G.O Corrosion from the next turn, preventing normal commands. Targets follow the Corrosion skill's own rules and may not be selectable.
Even outside that state, using E.G.O with projected SP at -25 or lower after its cost can trigger Corrosion at the displayed chance. This random skill change alone does not cause the E.G.O Corrosion state.
Check the selection screen's Corrosion chance and the Corrosion skill's targeting rules.
NOTESCommon Misunderstandings
- Low SP does not produce identical behavior for every Identity and equipment setup.
- Distinguish deliberate Overclock from automatic Corrosion.
EXAMPLEWorked Example
Corrosion state versus random Corrosion
- Reach -45 SP: enter E.G.O Corrosion next turn
- At -25 or lower after the SP cost: E.G.O use has a Corrosion chance
- Check whether this is a Corrosion state or only a Corrosion skill activation
These are separate mechanics. The Corrosion state prevents commands; random Corrosion normally leaves the Identity under player control.
