Hollow Farming

At a Glance

Farm Mirror Dungeons with Faust's Season 8 E.G.O Hollow. Only a strong Faust Identity and Hollow are required, keeping decisions simple. However, this uses Hard on floor 5 and requires a Starlight reserve, so learn Mirror Dungeons first. Unsuitable for deep-floor progression.

How It Works

• Hollow's first use in an Encounter costs only 2 Pride. Even then, its Corrosion version can be used through Overclock with 7 Attack Weight.
• Bring Tier Ⅲ Grand Welcome through Gift Observation for +5 Pride resources at stage start, enabling Corrosion on turn 1.
• Tier Ⅲ Sharp Needle & Thread adds fixed damage equal to half the damage of the first skill that damages an enemy each turn. With area attacks, each target takes half the total damage dealt across all targets, defeating multiple enemies together.
• Hollow's Corrosion attacks random targets without distinguishing allies. Deploy Faust alone to avoid hitting other Sinners.

Preparation

• 
  User: Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept Faust fits well with 283 HP and 4–7 Speed, among the fastest Faust Identities. Alternatives should have high HP and no Pierce weakness.

    The House of Spiders: The Ring Apprentice: the highest HP among Faust Identities.
  • 
    Zwei Assoc. South Section 4: slower, but still an option.
• Hollow: At least Threadspin Ⅲ. Prefer Ⅳ for the larger damage bonus from spending Charge.
• Blessings: Star of the Beginning and Interstellar Travel.
• Gift Observation: Tier Ⅲ Grand Welcome and Tier Ⅲ Sharp Needle & Thread.
• Starting Gift: Tier Ⅱ Cigarette Holder (Power Up 1 each turn while you have Poise).
• Packs: Normal Flat-broke Gamblers, Hell's Chicken, Emotional Seduction, and Hatred and Despair. Choose Hard Line 2 on floor 5.

Rotation

• Clear Regular and Focused Encounters with Hollow's Corrosion. Avoid Abnormality and Chain Encounters where possible. If unavoidable, bring in follow-up Identities as needed, at the cost of more time.
• Play floors 1–4 on Normal, then switch to Hard and choose Line 2 on floor 5.
• Hollow's Corrosion can defeat floor 1–3 bosses in one hit. With the required Gifts, Knight of Despair and Sign of Roses can be defeated in 2 turns using regular Hollow followed by Boucher un trou.
• Restore Faust to maximum SP at the floor 4 and 5 shops.
• Collect these four Gifts. Floors 1–3 still fall to one Corrosion hit without them, so collecting them gradually before Knight of Despair is sufficient.

  • Clear Mirror, Calm Water++ (Poise, Tier Ⅳ): Critical damage becomes 1.7×.
  • Fragment of Conceit (Poise, Tier Ⅳ): E.G.O skills that gain Poise get Final Power based on resources spent and +50% damage, more for Pride E.G.O.
  • Artistic Sense++ (Sinking, Tier Ⅳ): +35% damage against enemies with Low Morale or Panic.
  • Fragment of Decay (Sinking, Tier Ⅳ): E.G.O skills that inflict Sinking get Final Power based on resources spent and +50% damage.
• Grand Welcome becomes unnecessary once enough Pride resources accumulate. It can be used as fusion material when a Tier Ⅲ Gift is needed.

Weaknesses and answers

• Starlight balance is generally negative. Prepare a sufficient reserve before farming.
• Requires Hard on floor 5, so unavailable until Hard is unlocked.
• The E.G.O animation is long. Click or tap to speed it up.
• Unsuitable for deep-floor progression.
