3 things to understand first
- against Stem and Root attacks, and direct spare attacks at the Fruit. Destroying the Fruit grants 2 to all Parts.
- Main-body HP cannot fall below 1 during the first 2 turns. If it survives, continue through the event checks and the next turn; this does not mean your damage is insufficient.
- In longer fights, watch for “” on the 5-turn cycle. or destroy either Stem to stop it. Removed Stems cannot be attacked further.
GUIDEKeys to the fight
Turn numbers indicate a typical sequence. HP loss and Stagger can change the order, so also check the names of the skills the enemy is using.
Find a response based on how you lost
- Its HP stops at 1 and it will not die
- The Canto I version cannot die during the first 2 turns. Continue normal attacks and event checks, then defeat it afterward.
- The destroyed Fruit came back
- The Fruit normally regenerates after 1 turn. Deal damage while all Parts have . After it regenerates, weaken it and pass the resulting check to stop further regeneration.
- I cannot target a Stem after destroying it
- Stems are removable Parts. Destroying one makes it untargetable and stops its actions. Reassign attacks to the remaining Parts.
- The area attack hits everyone
- “” is used when both Stems remain. When its warning appears, or destroy either Stem to stop it. If you cannot do so in time, with a strong skill.
Turns 1–2
Take necessary Clashes and break the Fruit with spare attacks
- In s, choose targets manually. First against incoming Stem and Root attacks, then focus remaining attacks on the Fruit.
- The Fruit is weak to Blunt and has 21 . Destroying it grants 2 to all Parts, creating an opening to damage the main body. Stems and Roots are weak to Slash, so their physical weaknesses differ from the Fruit's.
- Main-body HP cannot fall below 1 during the first 2 turns. Even with sufficient damage, the fight cannot end during this period; check remaining attacks and events.
Check at the end of turn 2
Pass the Roots check to stop the recurring Bind
- Wrath is favored in the check to dig up the Roots. Success removes and stops the 1 inflicted every turn.
- Failure is not an immediate defeat: destroying the Roots also stops the effect. The required check value is listed as 4 (6 in parentheses), so use the success prediction shown in battle to choose a Sinner.
Stem warning / 5-turn cycle
Stop either Stem to prevent the area attack
- If both Stems remain, one uses “” with 5 on a 5-turn cycle. Watch for the gathering-light warning and check the skill name.
- The Right Stem has a Threshold at 40% HP. or destroy either Stem, or defeat the main body first. The Left Stem has no Threshold, so handle them differently.
- Removed Stems cannot be attacked and no longer act. Removing them also reduces the Roots' bonuses based on remaining Stems; reassign attacks to the remaining Parts.
Regenerated Fruit check / finishing the fight
Use the chance to stop regeneration and exploit Fragile
- The Fruit normally returns 1 turn after destruction. Weakening the regenerated Fruit triggers a warning for the next check. Its exact HP requirement is unconfirmed, so watch for the warning.
- Passing the Pride-favored check destroys the Fruit and s the main body. The Fruit will no longer regenerate. The required value is listed as 5 (7 in parentheses), so choose a Sinner using the current prediction.
- You can also defeat the main body before that check appears, once the first 2 turns have passed. Exploit from breaking the Fruit rather than waiting unnecessarily for an event.
NOTESUnique effects and cautions
Easy-to-miss details
- The main body cannot die during the first 2 turns. Stopping at 1 HP does not indicate insufficient damage.
- The Right Stem has a Threshold at 40% HP; the Left Stem has none.
- Fruit and Roots can still be attacked after destruction; removed Stems cannot. Check each Part's behavior.
- The HP requirement for the check that stops Fruit regeneration is unconfirmed. Do not assume it is half HP or less.
- An On Heads Hit effect does not activate on every hit.
For the first 2 turns of combat, the Canto I version cannot fall below 1 HP or die.
Stopping at 1 HP does not mean the strategy failed. Continue the necessary es and events.
Destruction cancels its actions, and it does not act while broken. Normally regenerates after 1 turn. Passing the Fruit check prevents further regeneration and s the main body.
Exploit the applied across all Parts when it breaks. Do not assume an unconfirmed HP requirement for the event after regeneration.
Destruction cancels actions and destroys slots. Cannot be attacked afterward. “” is used only when both Stems remain.
Stopping either Stem prevents the area attack. After destruction, move attacks to the remaining Parts.
PARTYRecommended teams and preparation
What to prepare first
- Deploy 5 Sinners. Use the dungeon's recommended Lv. 7 as a guide and prepare a core team that can win es.
- Blunt is effective against the Fruit; Slash against Stems and Roots. Wrath and Pride deal good damage and are useful for the Roots and Fruit checks.
Stem and Root Clash roles
Stop attacks while suppressing the area attack and Root bonuses through Right Stem or .
Blunt damage for the Fruit
Use spare actions to break the Fruit and apply across all Parts.
Wrath and Pride check roles
Aim to stop from the Roots and regeneration from the Fruit. Choose using the prediction on the event screen.
One ally can fill several roles. First choose a main fighter who can win Clashes, then assign responsibilities for dangerous attacks and special mechanics.
