3 things to understand first

  1. or defeat Starbuck first to reduce enemy attacks.
  2. Let a Pierce-resistant Sinner face “”, preparing for focused attacks next turn.
  3. During , deplete Queequeg's Shield rather than forcing es with Ahab.

GUIDEKeys to the fight

Turn numbers indicate a typical sequence. HP loss and Stagger can change the order, so also check the names of the skills the enemy is using.

Find a response based on how you lost

You cannot with Ahab
redirects your attacks to Queequeg. This is intended. Keep the marked defender alive and deplete the Shield, or Ahab on the order turn to cancel it.
One Sinner takes every attack and falls
Check for . It also increases damage taken by 50%, so redirect the mark-applying attack to a durable Sinner beforehand. Ishmael's survival condition from Ricardo's fight does not apply here.
Ahab fully heals after you damage her
In the first half, falling below 50% HP or completing the specified action pattern triggers the second half and healing. Stopping Starbuck first is easier to manage than spending all damage on Ahab immediately.

First half / opening

Stop Starbuck and preserve your defender

  • Focus strong attacks such as Pierce on Starbuck to reach his first Threshold. Win other dangerous es and use Defense s to offset s where needed.
  • Damaging Ahab too quickly advances the second half. If unprepared, handle Starbuck and build resources first.
  • Save HP and SP on a Pierce-resistant defender for the coming focused attacks. Check resources carried through the dungeon too.

“To Me!” / “Track Them to the End!”

Choose who receives Prey Mark

  • The Sinner ing with “” receives focused attacks next turn. Assign a defender after checking Pierce resistance, Sin resistances, and HP.
  • The mark applies [On Use], while orders activate at Combat Start. Winning the does not cancel next turn's mechanics.
  • Alternatively, ing Ahab on the order turn cancels it. In the first half, aim for her 60% HP Threshold, but avoid excessive damage: falling below 50% triggers the transition and healing.

Assist Defense / Assist Attack turn

Protect your defender while fully depleting the Shield

  • redirects attacks aimed at Ahab to Queequeg, preventing es with Ahab. Prepare and healing for the marked Sinner.
  • Aim to fully deplete Queequeg's that turn. Leaving it active prolongs assistance and makes Ahab harder to attack.
  • In the first half, depleting it can Queequeg next turn. If Starbuck remains, or defeat him to stop extra attacks too.

Ahab heals and enters the second half

Watch negative-Coin skills and normal Stagger Thresholds

  • The crew mainly switches to negative- attacks. Low enemy SP strengthens them, so do not reuse first-half predictions.
  • Depleting Queequeg's Shield no longer causes through that effect. Consider reaching a normal HP Threshold on the order turn.
  • ing Ahab can also stop orders. Assistance already active may persist across the transition, so check the actual attack targets.
  • Once Starbuck is stopped and assistance handled, focus damage on defeating Ahab. You do not have to finish all enemies separately.

NOTESUnique effects and cautions

Easy-to-miss details

  • Unlike Ricardo's fight, Ishmael can be defeated normally here. Mandatory deployment does not mean invulnerability.
  • Assistance already active may persist into the second half. Advancing the phase does not guarantee removing it.
  • from depleting Queequeg's Shield differs from normal HP . The former does not occur in the second half.
  • reuse is not included in the displayed count. Starbuck in particular gains extra attacks after hitting, making his es valuable to stop.

Prioritized by Pequod crew attacks and takes 50% more damage from them.

Redirect the applying attack to a defender beforehand. Do not assume every attack can be redirected away afterward.

Attacks aimed at Ahab move to Queequeg's slots. The assisting unit's slot weight increases without limit.

Area attacks aimed at Ahab may not land as expected either. Prioritize ing Queequeg or depleting her Shield.

Decreases by damage taken and persists across turns. In the first half, reaching 0 at Turn End causes next turn. This effect does not occur in the second half.

Aim to fully deplete it in 1 turn. In the second half, pursue normal HP separately.

After Ahab's Attack ends, Starbuck attacks the same target unopposed using his skill's s, effects, and .

Do not calculate incoming damage from Ahab's attacks alone. This is one reason to stop Starbuck first.

Having both on the same target causes . Does not apply again to an already ed target.

Avoid letting both second-half harpoon attacks hit the same Sinner. can occur even with plenty of HP.

On skill use, lose 10% of current HP and gain +1 Final Power. On hit, heal Ahab by 8 SP and grant both units 2 .

The user's attack is strengthened even while losing HP. Check second-half predictions.

PARTYRecommended teams and preparation

What to prepare first

  • Aim for Level 40 on your main units. Ishmael is mandatory, but you can prepare another Sinner as the defender.
  • Prepare a Pierce-resistant defender. Check Sin resistances to incoming attacks such as Gluttony, Pride, and Envy as well as HP.
  • Pierce works against Starbuck and Ahab; Blunt works against Queequeg. First secure winning skills, then exploit weaknesses among those options.
  • Prepare resources within the dungeon for , healing, or enemy . No specific high-rarity Identity is required.

Defender for Prey Mark

A Sinner with Pierce resistance and HP who can take the mark-applying attack. Support them with and healing for next turn's focused attacks.

Pierce attacker to stop Starbuck

Aim for immediately to reduce reuse and .

Order disruption / Shield damage

Set up Ahab's Threshold or focus Blunt and other damage on Queequeg. Shift roles between the order turn and the following assistance turn.

One ally can fill several roles. First choose a main fighter who can win Clashes, then assign responsibilities for dangerous attacks and special mechanics.
