CHAPTER 01 / BOSS GUIDE
Doomsday Calendar (Canto I)
Defeat the initial Clay Dolls, then attack the arms and face in order. In phases 2 and 3, reduce 1 Clay Doll to 0 HP so you can weaken the boss through a check without spending a Sinner's HP. Even success at the final check carries a large cost, so also aim to defeat the main body beforehand.

3 things to understand first
- In phase 1, reduce both Clay Dolls to 0 HP. In phase 2, destroying both arms or reducing main-body HP to 70% or less exposes the face. In phase 3, reaching 25% HP or less starts the final phase.
- In phases 2 and 3, reducing 1 of that phase's Clay Dolls to 0 HP unlocks the option to offer a Clay Doll. Offering a Sinner costs HP even on success.
- Even a successful final check costs the selected Sinner 100 HP and all Sinners 30 SP. Defeating the main body from above 25% HP skips the final phase. Defeating it also suppresses the Clay Dolls.
GUIDEKeys to the fight
Turn numbers indicate a typical sequence. HP loss and Stagger can change the order, so also check the names of the skills the enemy is using.
Find a response based on how you lost
- I cannot attack the main body
- The main body cannot be attacked in phase 1. Reduce both Clay Dolls to 0 HP to start phase 2. Arms become targetable in phase 2; the face in phase 3.
- Defeating a Clay Doll did not trigger On Kill effects
- At 0 HP, the Clay Doll adds do not die; they become unable to act and untargetable. They are suppressed when the main body is defeated, so reducing a doll to 0 HP alone does not necessarily trigger On Kill effects.
- I cannot choose to offer a Clay Doll
- You need a Clay Doll reduced to 0 HP during the current phase. Do not expect phase 1 dolls to carry over into the next check; prepare 1 during each of phases 2 and 3.
- An ally lost a lot of HP despite passing the check
- Offering a Sinner costs HP even on success: 20 in phase 2, 30 in phase 3, and 100 at the final check. Prepare Clay Dolls for the intermediate checks; for the last one, consider both HP and SP costs when choosing a Sinner.
Phase 1
Reduce both Clay Dolls to 0 HP
- The main body does not act and cannot be attacked. Attack the 2 Clay Dolls; Blunt and Sloth are effective.
- At 0 HP, dolls do not die but become unable to act and untargetable. Reducing all of them to 0 HP starts phase 2. Waiting only for the main body to attack will not advance the fight.
Phase 2: arms and 3 Clay Dolls
Attack the arms and prepare 1 doll for the check
- The main body attacks with both arms, and 3 new Clay Dolls appear. Slash is effective against arms; Blunt against dolls. Break both arms or reduce main-body HP to 70% or less to advance.
- Before the check, reduce 1 doll from this phase to 0 HP. Offering it inflicts 3 on all main-body Parts. Defeating every doll is not required to advance.
- Without a doll, take a Lust-favored check. Even success costs the selected Sinner 20 HP. Failure also costs them 15 SP and grants 3 and 3 to all main-body Parts. Choose a Sinner with enough HP.
- Watch for the check warning and the event itself. If both arms are ed or destroyed, the event may be temporarily delayed. Removed arms cannot be attacked further.
Phase 3: face and 4 Burning Clay Dolls
Stop Frenzy and damage the face
- The normal dolls disappear and are replaced by 4 ing Clay Dolls. The main body only s, but inflicts 3 on all Sinners each turn.
- Again, reduce 1 doll to 0 HP and offer it during the check. This removes 100 main-body HP and stops without costing a Sinner HP. Defeating every doll is not required to advance.
- Without a doll, take a Gloom-favored check; even success costs the selected Sinner 30 HP. Failure still removes 100 main-body HP, but also costs the Sinner 15 SP, inflicts 10 on all Sinners, and does not grant the successful removal of .
- The exact timing of the phase 3 event is not consistently documented. Follow the warning and prepare a doll before the check rather than waiting a fixed number of turns. Defeating the boss from above 25% HP skips the final phase.
Main-body HP at 25% or less / final phase
Use the first-turn opening to pass the check or finish the boss
- The face's broken state is removed and its fully restored; main-body HP is not restored. The first “” targets the boss's allied Clay Dolls, cannot be ed, and has 4 .
- The final check at Turn End favors Sloth. Success completes suppression but costs the selected Sinner 100 HP and all Sinners 30 SP. Failure still costs the selected Sinner 100 HP, costs all Sinners 45 SP, and grants 5 and 5 to all main-body Parts.
- Later “” uses target Sinners with 10 . It is a powerful Minus skill, so defeat the main body or pass the check during the initial opening. After failure, check current predictions and remaining HP, block with strong skills, and finish the boss.
- Defeating the main body suppresses the remaining Clay Dolls at the same time. You do not need to clear every doll first.
NOTESUnique effects and cautions
Easy-to-miss details
- Reducing an add to 0 HP is not a normal kill. Do not rely on On Kill effects.
- Offering a doll in phases 2 and 3 requires reducing a doll from that same phase to 0 HP.
- Offering a Sinner costs HP even on success. In particular, remember the final check's 100 HP cost and teamwide SP loss.
- The face continues acting after destruction and restores in the final phase. Do not rely on breaking it to stop actions immediately.
- “” first targets Clay Dolls, then Sinners. Keep its targets, , and ability distinct.
Reducing 2 dolls to 0 HP starts phase 2. Destroying both arms or reaching 70% main-body HP starts phase 3. Reaching 25% main-body HP starts the final phase. Reaching 0 main-body HP suppresses every enemy regardless of phase.
Clearing all dolls in phases 2 and 3 is not required. Prepare 1 for the check, then direct damage at the main body.
Available in phases 2 and 3 if a doll was reduced to 0 HP during that phase. Phase 2 inflicts 3 ; phase 3 removes 100 main-body HP and . No Sinner HP is spent.
Prepare 1 new doll during each phase; do not expect dolls from the previous phase to carry over.
Phase 2 favors Lust and phase 3 favors Gloom. Even success costs the selected Sinner 20 and 30 HP respectively. The final check favors Sloth, costs the selected Sinner 100 HP, and also reduces every Sinner's SP.
Consider remaining HP and risk after paying the cost, not just success chance. Required values have differing parenthetical listings, so choose using the prediction displayed in battle.
Removing an arm cancels its actions, deletes its slots, and prevents further attacks against it. The face continues acting after destruction; the final phase removes its broken state and fully restores its .
Breaking a Part does not necessarily stop all actions. Change targets to match the phase.
PARTYRecommended teams and preparation
What to prepare first
- Deploy 5 Sinners. Use the dungeon's recommended Lv. 7 as a guide, and enter with healthy HP and SP.
- Slash is effective against arms; Blunt against the face and dolls. Sloth is broadly effective. Lust is resisted by the main body but favored for the phase 2 check.
- Offering Clay Dolls avoids intermediate HP costs. If using the final check, prepare for its 100 HP cost and identify a Sinner suited to Sloth checks.
Clay Doll damage role
Reduce dolls to 0 HP to advance phase 1 and enable checks without an HP cost in phases 2 and 3.
Arm and face damage role
Progress through removal and HP-based transitions, while also aiming to defeat the boss before the final phase.
Check role with HP to spare
Limit the damage from costs when no doll is ready or when taking the final check.
One ally can fill several roles. First choose a main fighter who can win Clashes, then assign responsibilities for dangerous attacks and special mechanics.
