3 things to understand first

  1. Have a fast, unmarked Sinner intercept attacks strengthened against marked targets. Offset with a Defense .
  2. In the latter half, the bound Sinner must win against “” to remove the bind. Assign “” to an unbound Sinner instead.
  3. Do not let reach 3. Nelly's only removes values of 2 or less.

GUIDEKeys to the fight

Turn numbers indicate a typical sequence. HP loss and Stagger can change the order, so also check the names of the skills the enemy is using.

Find a response based on how you lost

Suddenly losing clashes you would normally win
Against a target with , Collapse gains +10 Power and Capture gains +8. Check bonuses against the current target, not just the listed base range.
Unable to free a bound ally
The bound Sinner must win the clash against “”. Another ally winning does not remove that Sinner's bind.
Trying to remove the bind made it worse
“” is a different skill that increases when used against a bound target. Assign it to an unbound Sinner.
Extra enemy actions become overwhelming
Successful evades add an action slot next turn. Offset with a Defense to also prevent the enemy's SP recovery.

Before deployment

Prepare Slash damage and high-Power skills to remove binds

  • Bring 6 Sinners, aiming for Lv.45 and III or higher on your main team. Slash is effective; relying only on Pierce damage can prolong the fight.
  • The bound Sinner must win, so do not concentrate all high-Power skills on one Sinner. Check each Sinner's and required resources.
  • Bring Defense s to offset and fast Sinners who can intercept attacks aimed at marked allies.

Until the first Stagger

Redirect strengthened attacks to unmarked Sinners

  • “” applies its mark On Use. If it lands, adjust the targets of subsequent attacks.
  • Collapse and Capture gain substantial Power against marked targets. Have a fast, unmarked Sinner intercept them, and focus other Slash attacks on Nelly.
  • Offset with a Defense . Repeated successful evades put you behind in both SP and action slots.

After the end of the first Stagger turn

Complete the event and switch to handling binds

  • The event uses a Pride check. The source lists Favored 17 (displayed as 21), with a +10 modifier for Heathcliff. Choose the participant using the success chance on screen.
  • Success grants the chosen Sinner 2 ; failure gives 2 . Watch the failed participant's next incoming hit.
  • From this point, check who has and save a high-Power skill for that Sinner to remove it.

Latter half / after Binding Technique is applied

Let the bound Sinner remove the bind; assign Binding to someone else

  • The bound Sinner must win against “” to remove the bind. Even a slow Sinner can clash if the attack originally targets them.
  • Conversely, “” increases the value when used against a bound Sinner. Have a fast, unbound Sinner intercept it.
  • increases at Turn End and causes persistent at 3. If removal is too slow, aim for the at 20% HP, but only removes values of 2 or less.
  • Dissolution is also strengthened against bound targets late in the fight. Avoid its bonus condition when clashing, then focus the remaining attacks to finish Nelly.

NOTESUnique effects and cautions

Easy-to-miss details

  • “” and “” are different skills. Do not assign ing to the Sinner you want to free.
  • at 3 is not removed by even if Nelly is ed.
  • Winning the clash does not cancel an On Use mark application.
  • Dissolution deals 0 damage to unbound targets, but has an On Hit effect. Do not leave it unchecked as a safe unopposed attack.

Increases Power on certain skills; Capture also gains based on the number of marked targets.

Some marks apply On Use. Use unmarked Sinners to avoid the bonuses.

Maximum 3. Increases at Turn End and inflicts equal to its value next turn. At 3, causes that does not end.

The bound Sinner must beat “” to remove it. Nelly's removes it from everyone only at values of 2 or less.

PARTYRecommended teams and preparation

What to prepare first

  • Prepare Slash attackers, HP recovery, and high-Power for removing binds. Do not fix the removal role to one Sinner in advance.
  • Maintain SP and keep skills and resources that let every Sinner take a bind-removal clash.

Fast redirector

Redirect strengthened attacks to Sinners without marks or .

High-Power skills on each Sinner

Let the bound Sinner win the removal clash.

Slash damage and recovery

Aim for and finish the fight before binds progress too far.

One ally can fill several roles. First choose a main fighter who can win Clashes, then assign responsibilities for dangerous attacks and special mechanics.
