GUIDETeam Building and Rotation

At a Glance

Build around The One Who Grips Faust's Whistles combat passive and Identities with Lust skills. This is a less powerful foundation than other team archetypes and is included as a supplementary option.

Strengths

  • At 4 Lust Resonance, Whistles restores 15 SP to the 2 lowest-SP allies at Combat Start. This accelerates the opening in story and other battles starting at 0 SP.
  • Also restores SP lost after using E.G.O.
  • The One Who Grips pairs strongly with The Ring Pointillist Student Yi Sang. Nails, Gaze, and Bleed from her S2 are negative effects, helping guarantee his S2 reuse.

N Corp. synergy

  • Whistles also grants Fanatic when healing N Corp. Fanatics. The One Who Grips's Nails create more opportunities for Fanatic to activate, making her compatible with them.
  • N Corp. Mittelhammer Don Quixote has Lust S1 and defense, making Whistles easy to trigger. She gains bonuses from Fanatic but cannot gain it alone, so Whistles fits her well.
  • N Corp. Mittelhammer Rodion excels at gaining Fanatic. At Uptie Ⅳ in an N Corp. team, The One Who Shall Grip Sinclair grants allies a +10% damage buff.
  • N Corp. Großhammer Meursault has no Lust and cannot contribute to Whistles, so choose him or Mittelhammer Don Quixote when focusing on Lust.
  • Benched N Corp. Kleinhammer Heathcliff increases the fastest ally's Nails application by 1. Has no effect unless The One Who Grips is fastest.
  • Together, N Corp.'s Fell Bullet Yi Sang and Contempt, Awe Ryōshū let Fell Bullet deal damage without killing allies.

Building the team

  • Ideally, more than half the team has Lust skills. Having 2 Identities with both Lust attacks and Lust defense makes Resonance easier to form.
  • Lust defense can connect Lust Resonance even without a Lust attack available. Prioritize Uptie Ⅳ for Identities whose defense becomes Lust at that stage.
  • The One Who Grips can activate Whistles in any Lust-heavy team. House of Spiders teams have many Lust S1 users, including Blade of the House of Spiders Ryōshū and The Index Proxy Don Quixote. The Bloodfiend Bleed variant already includes her.

Rotation

  • During the opening, evading to activate Whistles often contributes more than forcing The One Who Grips to attack.
  • Gaze from her S2 increases damage taken from Pierce and Blunt skills by 20%. Pair her with those attack types.
  • Healing mainly comes from Faust's Fluid Sac. The One Who Grips supplies Lust and Envy, so use other Sinners to cover Gloom.

Weaknesses and answers

  • SP builds quickly, but the team is not especially suited to long battles.

Groups that work well together through affiliations and other synergies

N Corp. Fanatics

Whistles grants Fanatic when healing an N Corp. Fanatic, while The One Who Grips's Nails create more opportunities for it to activate. Großhammer Meursault has no Lust and cannot contribute to Whistles, so choose him or Mittelhammer Don Quixote when focusing on Lust.
