At a Glance

Build around Blade of the House of Spiders Ryōshū with House Nursefathers and Apprentices. She grows stronger by sacrificing House allies through Slay the Heavens - Tiansha [天殺], making the team useful across story, Mirror Dungeons, and Luxcavations.

Strengths

• Blade Ryōshū gains Saikai bonuses whenever a House ally dies. While House allies remain, she can redirect damage to them.
• Once Blade Ryōshū is at Uptie Ⅲ and the recommended level, other House Identities can be at any level or Uptie, keeping investment low.
• Every House Nursefather has a special Burn-applying S3, so the team can use Burn too. It remains strong without maintaining Burn.

How Tiansha Works

• Equipping Phantom Step [殘像步] marks a House Identity at Combat Start, kills them through Tiansha after their action ends, and grants Saikai bonuses and SP.
• Tiansha selects deployed House members from the latest deployment position, with the Pinky Apprentice last in priority. Put Nursefathers you want to sacrifice at the end so they are killed first.
• A Nursefather sacrifice grants String Severance, enabling 2 Tiansha kills per turn afterward. Plan in advance for anyone you want to keep.
• After sacrificing the intended number, remove Phantom Step to stop Tiansha.

Reserves and Slots

• When an ally dies, reserves enter in order. Incoming House members occupy a late position and can become the next Tiansha targets. Put the lowest-priority Pinky Apprentice first among reserves, followed by non-House Meursault and Gregor, to sacrifice only the intended units.
• Deaths do not increase slots while reserves remain. Deploying fewer total units is an option if you want slots to grow sooner.

Basic Sequence

• The basic sequence is: sacrifice a Nursefather on turn 1 for 1 String Severance, sacrifice again on turn 2 to reach 3 deaths and 45 SP, then use Rend Space - String Connection at the end of turn 3 to complete Blade Ryōshū's setup.

Who to Sacrifice

• Tiansha candidates:

  • 
    Ring Nursefather: powerful Saikai.
  • 
    Middle Nursefather: underutilized in this team.
  • 
    Middle Apprentice: like the Middle Nursefather, underutilized in this team.
  • 
    Ring Apprentice: defensive Saikai.
• Keeping the Index pair and Pinky Apprentice as shields is the safer choice.
• Sacrificing everyone has major defensive drawbacks and is unreliable outside Mirror Dungeons, where Gifts can compensate.

Choosing Meursault and Gregor

• Neither Meursault nor Gregor has a House Identity, so neither can be targeted by Tiansha.

  Great Trichiliocosm [三千大世界] is the standard WAW choice. Its resource affinities match perfectly, and Entangled Life enhances its area damage.
• 
  Ryōshū's 4th Match Flame is the best-fitting HE. Its +4 Final Power for the fourth skill activates quickly with Blade Ryōshū's many slots.
• 
  The starting E.G.O Forest for the Flames is sufficient for ZAYIN.

Weaknesses and answers

• Enemies resistant to Slash are somewhat troublesome.
• In story fights where a particular Sinner's death causes defeat, avoid sacrificing that Sinner through Tiansha.
• In some all-participant content, slots do not regenerate beyond the cap. Sacrificing everyone can leave fewer than 7 slots.
