GUIDETeam Building and Rotation

At a Glance

Build around The Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu and Heishou Identities, all of which have Rupture. Rupture damage is mainly a bonus; the team relies on the latest Heishou's strength and the Lord's extra actions.

Strengths

  • The Lord's S3 calls the S3 of an early-deployed Heishou for a three-hit sequence. Many Heishou S3s grant effects that enhance their skills, stabilizing the opening.
  • The Lord restores 20 SP to an incoming reserve Heishou and has them use S3, up to 2 times per Identity per Encounter.
  • At stage start, the Lord gains Leash-holder of All Heishou based on the number of Heishou, including reserves, increasing Speed, Offense Level, and Defense Level.
  • Many members, such as Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Adept, are strong alone. Adding just 1–2 Heishou to the Lord can provide basic functionality.

Rotation

  • Include Heishou among reserves. Early in battle, use the Lord's defense Heishou Keenclaw [黑獣利爪] to retreat a spent Heishou and have the incoming one use S3.
  • Coordinating through the Lord's S3 grants Heishou Bolus Contamination, a permanent buff that differs by Heishou. Particularly attractive are the Rupture Count increase for Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Outis and Poise Count increase for Heishou Pack - Si Branch Gregor.
  • Heishou Pack - Wu Branch Adept and Family Hierarch Candidate have particularly strong synergy.
  • Outside Heishou, Cinq Assoc. West Section 3 Meursault is strong. His Rupture application is modest, but against targets with at least 15 Potency and 3 Count, he attacks without reducing Count, maintaining allies' setup while dealing damage.
  • Devyat' Assoc. North Section 3 Rodion is near-essential: in addition to Courier Trunk, every 6 Rupture increases Coin Power, enabling full strength early. Retreat through defense if the battle drags on.

E.G.O

  • Every Heishou has a Gluttony skill, making Gluttony-focused E.G.O compatible. Wrath is harder to generate.
  • Healing options include Fluid Sac, Sinclair's Lantern, and Thoracalgia, which benefits from Gluttony Resonance.
  • Using Tears of the Tarnished Blood [汚血泣淚] with the Lord negates death once and restores 60% HP. Self-damage makes using it too early counterproductive.

Weaknesses and answers

  • The Lord has extremely low HP. Heishou Keenclaw heals only 1 ally per turn, and Staggered Identities cannot retreat or heal through it. Prepare another healing option.
  • The 2 You Branch members carry self-inflicted Burn and tend to consume opportunities for Heishou Keenclaw. Choose their use carefully unless the enemy is weak to Wrath.

Team Builds

Example lineups: 7 deployed Sinners

Heishou (built around the Lord of Hongyuan)

Build around the Lord of Hongyuan and Heishou Identities. Every Heishou has Rupture, but status damage is a bonus; the lineup relies on modern Identities' strength. The Lord's defense retreats a Heishou and brings a reserve Heishou out to use S3, so include reserve options such as Wei Branch, the 2 Si members, and the 2 You members. Deploy Cinq Assoc. West Section 3 Meursault, who attacks without reducing Rupture, and the near-essential Devyat' Assoc. North Section 3 Rodion.

  1. The Lord of HongyuanHong Lu · Season 6

The core commander, granting Heishou extra actions and swapping them through defense. Extremely fragile.

  2. Heishou Pack - Mao Branch AdeptFaust · Season 6

An essential, independently strong pick whose technique loop starts from Assist Defense.

  4. Heishou Pack - Mao BranchRyōshū · Season 5

  5. Heishou Pack - Mao BranchOutis · Season 5

Outpaces enemies and deals damage through Rupture and Deathrite. Heishou Bolus Contamination adds Rupture Count on unopposed attacks.

  6. Cinq Assoc. West Section 3Meursault · Season 5

A Pierce attacker that hits without reducing the Rupture established by allies.

  7. Devyat' Assoc. North Section 3Rodion · Standard

Every 6 Rupture also increases Coin Power, enabling full strength early in Rupture teams.

Pairs and trios
