GUIDETeam Building and Rotation

At a Glance

A team for longer fights, built from Identities that accumulate Poise for critical hits, with Faust's Thoracalgia supplying Poise and healing. Choose between a Blade Lineage variant centered on the Mentor and an Index and House of Spiders variant.

Strengths

  • Many members gain stronger skills as Poise accumulates, increasing damage as the battle continues.
  • Thoracalgia gives all allies Poise and restores HP every turn after use.
  • Many skills are Pride, making Pride Resonance conditions easy to fulfill.

Choosing a variant

  • Blade Lineage: Blade Lineage Mentor activates Swordplay of the Homeland with 3 Pride Resonance to grant allies Poise and Power bonuses. Giving him Shadow-vested Bladesinger [着影揮刀] greatly strengthens the whole group. Some Salsu are weak alone but become effective with the Mentor's support.
  • Index and House of Spiders: The 3 Index members gain Power and SP by fulfilling Prescripts from turn 1, making their opening fast. Blade of the House of Spiders is strong alone and gains further bonuses by using Tiansha on a House of Spiders ally.
  • The Blade Lineage Mentor fits either variant, since deliberately losing with Yield My Flesh to use To Claim Their Bones is strong even alone.

Rotation

Weaknesses and answers

  • Damage is low until Poise builds, making short fights a weakness.
  • Blade Lineage resources lean toward Wrath and Pride, making healing E.G.O harder to use. Include Blade Lineage Salsu Faust for Sloth and Gloom, or other Identities that supply Gluttony.

E.G.O

Pairs and trios

Groups that work well together through affiliations and other synergies

Blade Lineage package

The Mentor's Swordplay of the Homeland activates at 3 Pride Resonance, granting Blade Lineage allies Poise and Power bonuses. Giving him Shadow-vested Bladesinger [着影揮刀] greatly strengthens the whole group. Resources lean toward Wrath and Pride, so add units that supply Sloth and Gluttony.

  • Blade Lineage MentorMeursault · Season 3

The core unit that distributes Poise and strengthens Blade Lineage allies.

  • LCD OSIR TeamIshmael · Season 7

Gains Poise and Offense Level as a Blade Lineage member, then deals damage through follow-ups.

  • Blade Lineage SalsuYi Sang · Standard

Gains the most among the Blade Lineage Salsu from the Mentor's support.

House of Spiders trio

Blade Ryōshū is strong alone, but becomes stronger after using Tiansha on a House of Spiders ally. These 3 form the House of Spiders package.

Heishou package

The Lord of Hongyuan reaches full strength alongside Heishou. In addition to the 2 Si Branch members, Mao Branch Adept also pairs well with him despite lacking the Poise keyword. The Lord is extremely fragile, so avoid losing clashes.

A commander that coordinates with Heishou through S3 and swaps them through defense.

  • Heishou Pack - Si BranchRodion · Season 6

A slow starter that builds Poise through Serpent Arm and attacks with area S3.

  • Heishou Pack - Si BranchGregor · Season 6

A slow starter that builds Poise through Serpent Arm and strikes with a single-Coin S3.

  • Heishou Pack - Mao Branch AdeptFaust · Season 6

Lacks the Poise keyword, but benefits from the Lord's extra actions and swaps as a Heishou. As Faust, she can also use Thoracalgia.

Priority picks

The team's core: include these Identities where possible
  • Blade Lineage MentorMeursault · Season 3

Activate Swordplay of the Homeland with 3 Pride Resonance to give Blade Lineage allies Poise and Power bonuses. Even alone, losing with Yield My Flesh to use To Claim Their Bones is powerful.

  • LCD OSIR TeamIshmael · Season 7

A Poise attacker that maintains 3 Pride Resonance and Haste each turn to repeatedly trigger Even the Balance - Lucent Rippling Flame. Pairing her with the Blade Lineage Mentor improves her Poise performance and Offense Level.

  • The Index Proselyte: 【Paper Slip】Faust · Season 7

Fulfill each turn's Prescript to build Grace of the Prescript and gain Power and SP from turn 1. Her resource affinities also suit a Faust using Thoracalgia.

  • The House of Spiders: The Index NursefatherYi Sang · Season 7

Follow Prescripts to build 9 Procuration, then use S3 Furioso-Replica. Durable for an Index Identity and exceptionally strong in long fights.

  • The Index Proxy - Effloresced E.G.O:: ProcurationDon Quixote · Season 7

Her Procuration state replaces her skills and raises Offense Level and Speed. More Poise means greater damage.

  • The House of Spiders: The Pinky ApprenticeSinclair · Season 7

Convert Poise Potency above 25 into Moonlit Azure Blade for Shield and critical hits. Strong in long fights, weak in short ones.

  • Blade of the House of SpidersRyōshū · Season 7

A strong Poise Identity even alone, with much greater bonuses after killing a House of Spiders ally with Slay the Heavens - Tiansha [天殺].

Flexible slots

Candidates for slots left after the priority picks

Rapidly builds Poise through evade and Precision Aim, then deals heavy critical damage. Retreats after running out of ammunition, making him better for short fights.

  • Drifting Blade of HongyuanRyōshū · Season 6

Builds Poise through S3 and defense, then effectively acts twice through a follow-up every turn. Also durable.

  • The Pequod CaptainIshmael · Season 3
