GUIDETeam Building and Rotation

At a Glance

A team that attacks while lowering enemy SP through Sinking. Choose physical Sinking for damage through Identity attacks, Sinking and Poise with Heishou, or sustained Sinking to maintain the status and rely on its damage.

Strengths

  • Lowers enemy SP while attacking and is especially strong against enemies weak to Gloom.
  • Gloom tends to accumulate, making healing E.G.O such as Fluid Sac and Bygone Days easy to use.
  • Sword Sharpened with Tears Rodion is the centerpiece, offering top-tier Sinking application and physical damage.

Choosing a variant

  • Physical Sinking: Use individually strong Sinking Identities without focusing on maintaining the status. The most generally applicable variant.
  • Sinking and Poise: The 3 Index members use both statuses. Add the strong Poise users Heishou Pack - Si Branch and The Lord of Hongyuan. Putting Si Branch first in deployment order lets the Lord's S3 call her S3.
  • Sustained Sinking: Use Count-sustaining Identities and Solemn Lament Yi Sang's Butterfly to deal Sinking as Gloom damage. Strong against single bosses.
    • For a more specialized approach, Effloresced E.G.O::Spicebush Yi Sang releases accumulated Sinking through S3's Sinking Deluge. Extremely fragile and suited to experienced players.

Rotation

  • Sword Sharpened with Tears switches between Blessing and Despair through defense. If choosing Despair, a strong sequence is using Rime Shank to lower SP before transitioning.
  • Echoes of the Manor is important for building Sinking Count. Butler Identities can apply it through S3.
  • The Index Proxy is strong when deployed, but benching her enables a support passive that restores 15 SP to the ally with the lowest SP.
  • In Regular Encounters with many ordinary enemies, Wild Hunt can easily gain bonuses through kills.

Weaknesses and answers

  • Because it sharply lowers enemy SP, this team is extremely weak against enemies with SP that mainly use negative Coins.
  • Lust resources are often scarce despite abundant Gloom, so monitor your reserves when using Lust-costing E.G.O.
  • Edgar Family Heir's support passive lowers SP. Pairing him with Sword Sharpened with Tears, who grows stronger below 0 SP, can avoid that drawback.

Team Builds

Example lineups: 7 deployed Sinners

Physical Sinking (standard)

Lower enemy SP through Sinking while dealing damage through the Identities' physical attacks. Maintaining Sinking is not the main goal, so individually strong Sinking Identities fit well. Surplus Gloom makes healing E.G.O easy to use.

  1. Lobotomy E.G.O:: The Sword Sharpened with TearsRodion · Walpurgis Night

The centerpiece, switching between Blessing and Despair. Despair offers top-tier Sinking application and damage.

  2. The House of Spiders: The Index NursefatherYi Sang · Season 7

A long-battle option that builds Procuration for S3.

  3. Lobotomy E.G.O:: Faint Aroma & SolitudeRyōshū · Walpurgis Night

Three follow-ups add damage beyond her selected skills.

  4. Jeong's Office RepIshmael · Walpurgis Night

Repeatedly uses the same skill to gather Bright cards and unleash Kōzan [光斬] follow-ups.

  5. The Index Proselyte: 【Paper Slip】Faust · Season 7

Fulfills Prescripts for Power and SP from turn 1.

  6. Wild HuntHeathcliff · Season 4

Grows stronger with kills. Strong in Regular Encounters with many ordinary enemies.

  7. LCA Udjat Vanguard Team 3 LeaderOutis · Season 7

Lowers enemy Coins' Heads chance and wins clashes from turn 1.

Sinking and Poise

Add 2 units from the strong Poise-oriented Heishou package to the 3 Sinking Index members. Every S3 except the Lord's is Gloom, making healing through Gloom resources easy. Can fight without relying on E.G.O.

  1. The House of Spiders: The Index NursefatherYi Sang · Season 7

Uses both Sinking and Poise and has high Power.

  2. The Index Proselyte: 【Paper Slip】Faust · Season 7

Uses both Sinking and Poise with a fast opening.

  3. The Index Proxy - Effloresced E.G.O:: ProcurationDon Quixote · Season 7

Uses both Sinking and Poise, clashing in the Procuration state.

  4. Lobotomy E.G.O:: Faint Aroma & SolitudeRyōshū · Walpurgis Night

A Sinking slot that adds damage through follow-ups.

  5. Jeong's Office RepIshmael · Walpurgis Night

A Sinking slot that gathers Bright cards for follow-ups.

  6. Heishou Pack - Si BranchRodion · Season 6

Lacks the Sinking keyword, but the Lord's S3 can call her multi-Coin area S3.

  7. The Lord of HongyuanHong Lu · Season 6

A commander outside the Sinking keyword that grants Si Branch extra actions. An effect that lets him survive lethal damage adds reliability.

Sustained Sinking (status damage)

Use Identities that maintain Sinking Count and defeat enemies through Sinking's own damage. Solemn Lament Yi Sang's Butterfly lets Sinking deal Gloom damage even to enemies with SP.

  1. Lobotomy E.G.O:: Solemn LamentYi Sang · Walpurgis Night

Spreads the special Sinking, Butterfly, letting Sinking deal Gloom damage. Extremely strong against single bosses.

  2. Molar Boatworks FixerIshmael · Season 2

A core unit that applies heavy Sinking Potency and Count.

  3. Wuthering Heights ButlerFaust · Season 4

S3 applies Echoes of the Manor, while each clash win applies Sinking.

  4. Wuthering Heights Chief ButlerOutis · Season 4

Echoes of the Manor increases Sinking Count, helping overpower enemies below 0 SP.

  5. Edgar Family HeirGregor · Season 4

Stacks Sinking, then absorbs it with S3 to raise next turn's damage.

  6. Lobotomy E.G.O:: The Sword Sharpened with TearsRodion · Walpurgis Night

Combines Sinking application and damage in Despair.

  7. Lobotomy E.G.O:: Faint Aroma & SolitudeRyōshū · Walpurgis Night

Adds damage through follow-ups. Uses both Tremor and Sinking.

Pairs and trios

Groups that work well together through affiliations and other synergies

Index trio

All 3 use both Sinking and Poise and gain Power and SP by fulfilling Prescripts from turn 1. The Proxy also has an excellent support passive, so benching her is an option.

Heishou package (Sinking and Poise)

Neither has the Sinking keyword, but the package is strong through Poise. The Lord's S3 can call Si Branch's S3, so place Si Branch first in deployment order.
